Accomplishments!

Look what we've been working on lately...

I can write my name all by myself!

...and I can stand alone for a few seconds (no steps just yet!)

Easter Events

All last week, we prepared for our Easter celebrations at school. We made rabbit ears, colored pictures, and even had our faces painted to look like bunny rabbits! All that prep-work made it seem like Easter would never arrive!

So, when we woke up to find our baskets full of goodies this morning, it was such a relief! (It looked like the Easter Bunny worked very hard at our casa - I'm sure glad we left him a carrot and milk as a little treat!)

Later, we had the chance to hunt eggs with our friends. Isla and I decided to team up for the event.

...Next year, I definitely think she'll be able to hold her own!

...but, today, when it came to egg hunting, I was the go-getter!

Motherload!

I see some candy confiscation in my future...

Picnic in the Park

...Well, actually, in our backyard
It looks like the Dry Season has finally made her appearance, and the weather has been so perfect, we couldn't resist a little impromptu picnic.

Isla crawled in the basket, and pretended to BE the picnic!

I think we can forgive her, though ;)

ONE to remember

Last weekend, we celebrated my 1st birthday with a sugary, colorful feast!

I woke from my nap, just in time to join the festivities!

Mommy, Daddy, and Avery went to town, putting up bright decorations, and inviting lots of friends to join in the fun. There were even people making popcorn and cotton candy!

Somehow, I missed out on that action

That's OK, because, before I knew it, everyone was singing, and it was time to cut my birthday cake!

...And, the birthday girl always gets the first piece!

Hmmm....not bad, not bad at ALL!

Now, THAT'S my idea of a day well spent! ~Isla
