Halloween Happenins'

We celebrated Halloween a bit early down here. The Brazilians don't really have the holiday, so we have to show 'em how much fun they're missing!
I wore my "pre-game" outfit to school, complete with the bewitching legwarmers Aunt Brooke sent me.

Later, Isla and I dolled up for trick or treating at the Embassy. I was Snow White; Isla was the cutest skeleton I've seen!

Of course, we weren't without an initial meltdown. I was a little nervous about all the potential scariness inside.

...but, by the time my bag was full of sweet treats, I was A-OK!

Hmmm....I wonder if Mommy and Daddy will notice how many pieces of candy I've eaten!

Mommy & Me

Mommy's have a way of always being the person behind the camera, and that's certainly the case at Casa Portu-Giese. So, this weekend we talked Daddy into channeling his inner Mario Testino. With a little direction, we think he did a pretty good job of capturing us with our favorite lady!

6 Months!

I turned six months old on Saturday, October 16th. Mommy and Daddy can't believe how quickly half a year has gone by! I love to "talk," make razzie sounds, and giggle when see Avery making funny faces. I can't sit on my own just yet, but I play on my tummy all the time, moving my legs to get me ready to rock 'n crawl before too long!

Activity Center

Just a little dose of life around Casa Portu-Giese. Isla loves playing on her tummy, and I think she keeps a keen eye out for when I might do something silly.

Isla is starting to eat baby cereal, but she's not exactly a pro. Right now, we're just trying to get some food actually in her belly, instead of on her face!

That's OK, though...she has a good time making a mess!

There's definitely no shortage of baby gadgets around the house, and sometimes, I can't resist checking them out for myself...

...But, most of the time, I'm happy to share sweetness with my baby sister
